Unfortunately , due to lack of registrations and several other factors, this years Venturing Rendezvous is being cancelled.

Those few who have registered will be refunded their payments ASAP and should receive a check in the mail within a week or so.

While the Rendezvous event has been cancelled, camp is still hosting a Work Party weekend. Those still interested in camping for the weekend are welcome to join the work party fun! Free meals and free camping in exchange for working on service projects for the camp. Please email Camp Ranger, Michael Hannah, for any questions or to let him know you are coming. Very important for food counts!!! ranger@wentescoutreservation.org 

 

Join Venturing Crews and Ships from all over Northern California for an awesome weekend of activities! Including: rifle, shotgun, black powder, pistol (with prior NRA certification) archery, swimming, horseback riding, mountain biking, sailing, canoes, kayaks, climbing, music and much, much more!! It's your camp! You pick! (Some events are subject to change). Youth and adults will once again come together from our council and surrounding councils to discuss their programs, groups and strategies in programs.

All Crews are responsible for their own adult supervision. Contact us if you have questions or need help being paired with another unit.

All youth and adults participants must have current Annual Health and Medical Record form filled out. All youth planning in participating in Shooting Sports MUST have a Firearms Permission form signed. Out of Council Crew/Ship must file a Local Tour Plan as required. No Tour Plan required for SFBAC units

 

Dates: September 15-17, 2017

Where: Wente Scout Reservation, Willits, CA

Cost: $50 Youth and Adults

(includes 4 excellent meals, crackerbarrel, activities and commemorative water bottle for the first 150 sign-ups.)

*Additional shooting tickets will be available for those wishing to shoot more than the allotted shots per person.

 

Other activities are being planned by the local VOA. If you have a suggestion or idea for activities you would like to see at Rendezvous, email them to michelle.rodriguez@scouting.org.

 

We will again offer Venture Leader Specific Training for adults if requested. Please email advisorcrew357@gmail.com if any adults in your crew will be interested in this training.

Cancellation Policy
FOR ALL CAMPS AND EVENTS Effective September 4, 2012 A great deal of advance planning and advance purchasing takes place for all programs and events of the San Francisco Bay Area Council during the months and weeks prior to an event, (facility rentals, supplies, staff hiring, food contracting, and program material acquisition.) Because of this the SFBAC has had to renew its refund policy. 1. Refunds requested two weeks (14 days) prior to an event/camp may receive up to an 80% refund. One week prior (7 days) to your event/camp receive a 60% refund. Within seven (7) days of the event/camp there will be no refund. Any refund will be based on the following criteria: 2. Types of refunds considered: serious illness or injury (a doctors certification required) or death in immediate family. Refunds are not given for no-shows, conflict of schedule (such as sports events, out of country trips), weather conditions, or behavior issues occurring before or during the event/camp. No requests accepted after September 1st. 3. Refunds will be returned to the person(s) or entity from which the funds were received. Refund requests should be sent to: San Francisco Bay Area Council, 1001 Davis Street, San Leandro CA 94577. Please include: participants name, unit, number, district, address, contact phone number, name of event and date or session of event.
