Den Chief Training

Den Chief Training is intended for Boy Scouts and Adult Den leaders. If a Boy Scout would like to work with either a Cub Scout or WEBELOS Den and thus fulfill the position of responsibility requirement in Boy Scouts, they should attend Den Chief Training. For an Adult Cub and Webelos leaders who would like to have a Den Chief and are looking for ideas to spark up their meeting, then Den Chief training is a must.

Den Chief Training is a 4-hour, course available to all Boy Scouts and Den Leaders. A Boy Scout must be approved to attend by their Scoutmaster. It is highly recommended that the boy be at least 13 years old, but this is not a requirement.

The course provides the boys and adults with a good understanding of the role of the Den Chief. They learn how to lead games, songs and skits. They learn how the Den Chief and Den Leader work together to create and run effective Den Meetings.
