      MODEL AIRPLANE CONTEST!

The American Legion, District 10, is sponsoring an airplane contest.  Model airplanes and plywood are supplied - you build the plane of your choice (either a World War II P-51 fighter or B-24 bomber) and create a diorama on the plywood, research the plane and write a short essay.  Contest entries will be judged on April 10 at noon at the Oakland Aviation Museum.  Boys are encouraged to work as a group on this project.  Get a copy of the Aviation Merit Badge book - this contest will fulfil half of the requirements for the merit badge!
