The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

The Boy Scouts of America supports more than 300 local councils that provide quality youth programs, through the following programs:

Cub Scouts is a year-round family- and home-centered program that develops ethical decision-making skills for boys in the second through fifth grade (or who are 8, 9, and 10 years old). Activities emphasize character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness.

The San Francisco Bay Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America is committed to respecting and protecting the personal privacy of its members and those who visit its Web site. The 2008 Council Annual Dinner is Saturday, February 2, 2008 at the LDS
Interstake Center, 4770 Lincoln Avenue in Oakland. Time for the event
is 6:00pm-8:30pm. Cost is $28.00 per person. For questions contact 510-577-9000. Register.
