Friends of Scouting

Why should I give to Friends of Scouting?

Friends of Scouting provides roughly one-quarter of the money needed to operate the San Francisco Bay Area Council's Scouting camps, programs and facilities for a calendar year. These camping and training facilities are the "outdoor classrooms" in which Scouts have fun, learn leadership skills and develop into better young men and women.  The San Francisco Bay Area Council spends approximately $200 per Scout each year to deliver these benefits and much more.

Endowment

Encouraging gifts to the endowment fund is one of Scouting's highest priorities. It is one of the best ways to insure that the San Francisco Bay Area Council can continue to offer the outstanding programs it now has long into the future and also grow to meet the needs of the youth and communities it serves.

Support Scouting

One of the strengths of Scouting is the fact that many people pull together to coordinate activities and a first class character education program for our youth.  In the San Francisco Bay Area Council, we have thousands of volunteers who donate their time and energy to make sure our Scouts receive the best program and support available.
