EDGE Training
The Purpose of the Trainers’ EDGE course is to provide and help develop the skills of a trainer. It is meant to supplement the practice offered through Wood Badge and NYLT. The skills learned will help you become a better presenter/instructor. If we work with scouts, we are all instructors.
All Scouts and Scouters with responsibility for training others are strongly encouraged to participate in the Trainer's EDGE. Training is the how we encourage our youth to grow.
Who May attend? All are encouraged to attend, especially if you are a leader and ever talk to a scout. In other words everyone is encouraged to come.
Precourse Preparation: Please prepare a 7-9 minute presentation on a topic of any BSA material. Your presentation should allow you to demonstrate the skills of a presenter.
With your new EDGE skills you should be able to improve your presentation and feel more confident about your ability to communicate. You will receive constructive feedback on your presentation from the other participants.
Your presentation skills will be sharpened to a new level.
If you have ever had to make a presentation, or think your skills could improve with practice, or you think you might ever teach a scout, come and join us for a day of fun and learning.
